Hello Sweet Friends,
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and for following along on my ORC Fall 2018 progress of my Ralph Lauren Southwest Lodge Inspired Guest Bedroom.

The Fall One Room Challenge – Week 3 Update
Progress is moving right along, but I did have a little pause in action due to a business trip. All is good though because some progress is still being made, even if it’s moving at a slower pace than I’d like. Some progress is better than no progress…am I right?!
During this trip, a serendipitous event took place…something so completely unexpected, but had me doing a happy dance for days.
Before I share more on that, let’s take a look at my weekly game plan.
Week 1: Introduction; Share Inspiration Board, Overall Plan and Weekly Game Plan. Start Purchasing Needed Items. ✔
Week 2: Share Furniture Layout and Other Design Ideas; Clean and Clear Everything Out of Room; Work on D.I.Y. Art; Continue Purchasing Needed Items. ✔
Week 3: Paint Room; Install Feature Wood Wall; Install New Lighting Fixtures; Finish D.I.Y. Art, Hang Wall Decor; and complete purchasing of items ✔
Week 4: Install Feature Wood Wall; Install New Lighting Fixtures; Make Window Treatment; Place All Furniture in Room
Week 5: Dress The Bed; Accessorize Room; Professional Photo Shoot.
Week 6: THE BIG REVEAL!!!
You’ll notice that two things didn’t happen this week – installation of feature wood wall or installation new light fixtures – both for good reasons. No worries though because they’ll get done soon!
I did, however, manage to repaint the room and I’m loving this beautiful greige color – Sherwin Williams # SW 7634 Pediment at 50% strength.

I also finished my DIY art project, which was so super easy to make and costs me around $30.

And I also managed to hang the Horse artwork too!

So About That Serendipitous Event….
This week on my business trip, I was fortunate enough to attend The Gathering Instagram Workshop & Retreat held by Julie and Jodie of The Design Twins. I’ll share more about my experience in an upcoming blog post, but in short, it was an amazing, packed-full 3 day event of learning and sharing with other like-minded businesswomen. All of which, were so genuinely nice and down-to-earth.
The serendipitous part was meeting Mandy Sancic of Olde Wood Ltd and BarnWood2GO. Mandy was attending the event not only as one of the event’s gracious sponsors, but also as a participant for her businesses. Well, as luck would have it, we were sitting at the same table and struck up a conversation. Through our conversation I learned that one of her businesses, BarnWood2GO, offers a peel & stick wood product. I immediately thought how both of her companies would be a good fit for the One Room Challenges, so I shared more information with her on where she could learn more. I then shared that after years of being a sideline spectator of these wildly popular challenges, that I finally decided to join in on the fun.
As I was sharing more about my ORC Ralph Lauren Southwest Lodge Inspired Guest Room (my plan and inspiration board) with her, she completely surprised me by saying she’d like to partner with me! Y’all, when I say you could’ve knocked me over with a feather, I’m not kidding! I had to ask her to repeat what she had just said because I was in disbelief.
To say I’m beyond giddy about partnering with Olde Wood Ltd and BarnWood2GO is an understatement! I can barely contain my excitement and look forward to get this wood feature wall done!
Thanks So Much for Stopping By!
