Thanksgiving Blessings – How to Create a Rustic Elegant Thanksgiving Tablescape

Hello friends! I’m so happy you stopped by!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just a little over a month away? Yeah, me neither! This year just keeps flying by way too fast.

Today on the blog, I’ll be sharing with you my tried and true steps on how to create a Rustic yet Elegant Thanksgiving Tablescape. I’m also teaming up with some of my super talented blogging friends who will be sharing their Thanksgiving decor and entertaining tips too, so grab a cup of coffee (or wine…no judging here!) and be prepared to be inspired!

Follow these 5 steps to create a gorgeous Thanksgiving Table. Guaranteed to impress your guests!

  1. Determine your theme and color palette ahead of time.
  2. Determine your foundation pieces: (a) Will you be using a tablecloth, placemats, chargers, or a combination of these?; (b) Fine China or casual dinnerware?; (c) Glassware – beverage goblet, wine goblet, champage flute, or all the above?; (d) Napkins with decorative napkin rings or without?
  3. And of course, no table is complete without a beautiful centerpiece. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you wish, but scale, depth, and height matter here too! Vary the heights and sizes of items to add interests, but pay careful attention to height. The goal is create something visually appealing that doesn’t obstruct your guests view across the table, thus making conversation easy.
  4. Purchase needed items well ahead of the big day, and do a trial run.
  5. Set the table a few days ahead of the festivities, and that’ll be one thing you can check off of that to-do-list!

Thanks again for dropping by! I hope you and your family have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

Sharing is caring!

    • Thank you so much, Beth! I fought the urge to buy candlesticks for a while too, and finally gave in. And I’m so glad I did! They really are so versatile…use them in groupings or pairs, mix & match, you name it. With the holiday season in full swing, there are so many pretty ones available too! Happy hunting!
