Welcome Friends!

One of my favorite spaces to decorate for the Christmas holiday season is my kitchen and breakfast nook. There’s just something so warm and inviting about a kitchen all decorated for the holidays, don’t you think?

Before I jump into the photo-overload of my Christmas Kitchen and Breakfast Nook, I should mention that it’s time for our December edition of Designing Women Tell All. This month, we’re sharing Christmas Decor in The Kitchen and Christmas Dining Room Tablescapes.

Be sure to stick around to the end because you don’t want to miss what Crystal and Sheri are sharing this month!

This year, my Christmas decorating theme is French Country Vintage-Modern Christmas, so naturally I wanted to carry this theme into my kitchen and breakfast nook as well. The color palette is a mix of neutrals and soft colors of blush pink, pale turquoise, soft sage green, cream, white, and champagne gold.

In the kitchen, I brought in the blush pink with the velvet ribbon accents on the counter stools and swag on the range hood. The soft sage green is found on the Santa and trees on my island centerpiece.

Christmas Countertop and Range Decorations

I prefer to have simple Christmas countertop vignettes because I don’t like a lot of clutter on my countertops.

To the left, I have a simple gingerbread house vignette. For this countertop vignette, I used a plain white cake stand on top of a marble round to elevate and give presence to the gingerbread house. I added simple holiday greenery and trees to complete the look.

For the range area, I added a Christmas Tree cookies jar, darling Christmas holiday tea towels, and a frosted greenery swag with blush pink velvet ribbon on the range hood.

To the right of the range, I have another simple Christmas countertop vignette of small white tea light houses and vintage bottle brush trees. I also added small unadorned greenery wreaths to tops of my flour and sugar canisters.

To top off this area, I added bottle brush trees to the upper cabinets.

Kitchen Island Christmas Centerpiece and Semi-Homemade Gingerbread Man Cake

I love to decorate my kitchen island for all seasons and Christmas is no exception. I keep this long tray on the island year round and change up the decor seasonally.

The kitchen island Christmas centerpiece is relatively simple too. I have a Santa figurine with white and soft sage trees. And I “made” this semi-homemade Christmas Gingerbread cake.

I purchase a nearly nude white cake at my local grocery store and embellished it. I added gingerbread men cookies, used rosemary twigs for the Christmas trees, added sugared cranberries, and topped it all of with coconut flakes to resemble snow. Easy peasy!

Christmas Gingerbread Breakfast Room Tablescape

I carried the color palette and gingerbread theme into my breakfast nook as well. I used a white faux fur table runner that resembles snow as the base of my centerpiece, then added a gingerbread house, trees, candles, and Christmas baubles.

Each individual place setting, sit on jingle bell placemats have faux wood plate chargers, white dinner plate, faux frosted mini wreath, white salad plate topped with faux gingerbread cookies, and a pretty shimmery blush pink napkin.
