Hi Friends!
Can you believe that the jolliest time of year is only a month away? I don’t know about you, but it sort of snuck up on me this year. Please tell me that I’m not the only behind the eight ball this year.
I’ll be sharing a glimpse of this year’s Christmas decor plan later in this post, but for now, let’s take a trip down memory lane to last year’s French Country Vintage Christmas decorations, shall we?

The Quick Backstory of Our French Country Vintage Christmas Decorating Theme
During the planning stage for Christmas 2023, a spring cleaning frenzy took over—thanks to my adult ADD, haha! If you know, you know. Just to clarify, I begin planning our holiday decor in the spring and refine the plan through the summer and fall.
During my spring cleaning frenzy, I rediscovered my in-laws’ vintage wedding china (circa 1959), which had been safely tucked away for years. At that point, I had already chosen a French Country Vintage-Modern Christmas theme, though the details were still coming together.
Seeing their beautiful china again, I knew it would be the perfect addition to my theme. From there, the rest of our holiday decor—our Christmas tree, kitchen accents, breakfast table, and tabletop vignettes—followed suit, creating a cohesive and meaningful celebration.

French Country Vintage Christmas Entry Tabletop Vignette
Since our entryway is directly across from the dining room, it received the French Country Vintage Christmas touch as well. I love how the vintage-inspired mercury glass Christmas tree, paired with the wood and pearl trees, adds a vintage-modern twist to the vignette!

French Country Vintage Christmas Dining Room
As mentioned earlier, our French Country Vintage Christmas table was inspired by my husband’s parents’ Noritake Glenwood wedding china (circa 1959). While china is often reserved for formal settings, I prefer a semi-formal approach to create a more inviting atmosphere for my family and guests.
To complement the china pattern’s colors, I kept the palette simple with white, green, burgundy, and touches of silver and gold. This soothing color scheme extends to the hutch shelves, where vintage and vintage-inspired bottlebrush trees, Christmas word art, candles, small tabletop trees, and a snowy white cottage under a cloche add to the festive charm.

French Country Vintage Christmas Tree
This 8′ King Noble Fir Christmas Tree from King of Christmas was the perfect backdrop for my vintage-inspired ornaments. The combination of these ornaments and silver tinsel brings back memories of spending the holidays at my grandparents’ home. I absolutely love the nostalgic feeling of it!

French Country Vintage Christmas Kitchen Gingerbread Decor
Is there anything more delightful than a Christmas gingerbread theme in the kitchen? To me, it’s the perfect fit – like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich: simple, sweet, and the ideal mix of festive cheer and charming warmth.
The soft and inviting color palette of white, soft sage green with accents of blush pink, pale turquoise, cream, champagne gold, with just a hint of burgundy complements gingerbread theme perfectly. It feels like stepping into a holiday storybook, where every corner radiates the sweet, nostalgic magic of Christmas,

Here’s a Sneak Peek at Our Christmas 2024 Decorations
This year, our Christmas decor theme is “Christmas in the Country”. The overall look will be a blend of rustic charm meets refined elegance. It’s my version of a softer, more understated Ralph Lauren-inspired Christmas.
The color palette is somewhat subtle, yet still has richness and depth. I’ll be using a lot of natural elements – grapevine garland, dehydrated orange slices, magnolias, poinsettias, and berries. And a touch of leopard print for a little added sass!
By the way, this beautiful 8′ Queen Flocked Slim Christmas tree is from King of Christmas. It’s absolutely gorgeous! Mine is the unlit version but it’s also available pre-lit. By the way, I did add lights to my tree…lots and lots of warm white lights!
I can hardly wait to share with you how our Christmas in the Country decor came together! I’ll be sharing sneak peeks on Instagram soon, so be sure to follow me over there too so you’ll be able to see little snippets before the big reveal! By the way, the Big Reveal is scheduled for December 5th!!!!
Designer Tip: Use white wired lights for flocked trees, garlands, and wreaths, and green wired lights for green trees, garlands, and wreaths to ensure a seamless blend.

Thank you so much, Cindy! Happy hopping with you too!
Beautiful Christmas decor, Kristy. Love your theme and I’m impressed that you plan it out a year ahead. Your color theme this year will be lovely. Thank you for hosting.
Thanks so much, Carol! While I start planning well in advance, nothing is ever quite set in stone, lol! Planning my holiday decor ahead of time allows me to craft early, shop or thrift for unique Christmas items, and more…not that that always happens, but I try!
I’m so impressed that you start thinking about Christmas in Spring, that must make it so simple when you’re ready to set up.
Thanks Rachel! I’m a planner by nature, which has its pluses and minuses! The plus side is gathering everything I need well-ahead of time. The minus side is I’m constantly tweaking the plan until it’s go time! Lol!
As always your home is perfectly appointed. I love your classic style, nothing is overdone, everything is tasteful and exquisite. You are a class act my wonderful friend! And it shows in your home. Congratulations on making it into ANOTHER magazine!!! I cannot wait to see how your Christmas in the Country theme comes together!!!
Thank you so much for your sweet words, Crystal! You are always so kind and supportive!
Your home is beautiful! I Love all of the vintage decor! I wish I could plan a little better lol!
Thank you so much for your sweet compliment, Mary Anne!

Absolutely beautiful, Kristy! Thank you for sharing your holiday decor with us!
Thank you so much, Kimberly!
So pretty Kristy! Sorry I missed being part of the hop this time around. Pinning too.
Thanks so much, Linda!
It’s just beautiful. The colors are softer which I love, although I’m doing a lot of black and white this year. Both great to get away from all red and green.
Thank you so much, Rosemary! I’m excited to see what you do with your black and white Christmas this year; sounds like fun!
