Christmas Decorating Ideas & Inspiration | Christmas Trees, Tablescapes, and other Christmas Decor
Hi Friends!
Today, I’m taking a stroll down Christmas Memory Lane and revisiting our Southern Elegance Christmas decorations from 2021. I shared a little of it on my Instagram feed last year here, but thought I would share more photos here on the blog.
The Celebrate Christmas Home Tour Blog Hop
Before I start my stroll down Christmas Memory Lane, I wanted to thank my sweet friend Leen at Sand Dollar Lane for coordinating The Celebrate Christmas Home Tour. This fabulous Christmas Home Tour consists of 29 of my home decor blogging friends and myself. There is so much beautiful Christmas decor inspiration and decorating ideas that I know you’ll want to see them all!
If you’re coming over from Vicki at 2 Bees in a Pod, welcome! I’m so happy you’re here! Don’t you just love her beautiful fireplace mantel and how she’s decorated it for the holidays?
Be sure to check back throughout the week, as we have a ton of Christmas ideas and inspirations for you every day this week! There are links at the bottom of my post for all of the wonderful holiday decorating inspiration.
Southern Elegance Christmas Tree
Each year I like to choose a different theme and/or color scheme for my Christmas decor to keep things fresh. Some years, the theme I select is based on a design element that I’ve seen, so I’ll base all of my Christmas decor around that design element. Other years the decision can be based on a whim, a feeling.
Last year’s Christmas decor theme was somewhat based on comments that I’ve received over the years; comments about my home and about me. Comments like “Your home has such a welcome, elegant look and feel” and “I love your beautiful southern home. It’s so warm and inviting”. So I combined all of the wonderful comments that I’ve received and dubbed our Christmas decor as Southern Elegance Christmas.
Southern Elegance Christmas Tree
My Southern Elegance Christmas Tree is adorned with magnolia leaves and flowers (both in white and in blue), dried orange slices, pinecones, blueberry picks, rustic grapevine spheres, ball ornaments, and ribbons. I absolutely love how it turned out!

Coordinating Gift Wrapping Paper
I love to coordinate my gift wrapping paper with my Christmas theme because it pulls everything together to have a cohesive look.
Southern Elegance Christmas Cocktail Table Centerpiece
The magnolia leaves and flowers “wreath” was easy to make. I actually used a boxwood wreath as the base, and layered on the magnolia leaves and flowers and pinecones.
Southern Elegance Christmas Decor in The Kitchen
I almost always have Christmas decor in my kitchen, too! Sometimes it’s more elaborate, and other times like the photos below, I keep it simple. This dough bowl sits on my countertop and typically has the charcuterie boards in it at all times, so adding little seasonal touches is easy breezy! Here, I’ve added a pine sprig, magnolia flower, pinecones, and a small nutcracker.
This Christmas vignette, complete with Christmas Ball Ornament Wreath (you can see how I made another one of these beauties here), bottlebrush trees, Santa gnome mugs, and cute little rustic house, sits on my sideboard.
Southern Elegance Christmas Breakfast Room Table Centerpiece and Place Settings
I kept the breakfast room table centerpiece simple with three mini Christmas trees, a deer, and two Charles Dickens Christmas books. The individual place settings consists of round red placemats, cedar chargers, white plates, and Snowman dishware.
Well, that about wraps up my Southern Elegance Christmas Home Tour
I hope you’ve enjoyed your stay and that you’ll come back to see this year’s theme and decorations…coming soon! Want to see how I decorated my home one year in a Winter Woodland Theme? You can find more information on that here.
