5 Quick & Easy Ways to Spread the Love on Valentine's Day

Learn 5 quick & easy ways to add a little Valentine’s Day decor to your home.

Hello Friends,

I am so happy you’ve stopped by today and equally excited to share with you my 5 Quick & Easy Ways to Spread the Love on Valentine’s Day!

Before I dive into these quick, easy, and inexpensive ways I show a little love to my family during Valentine’s, I want to give a big shout out to my good friend Mary of Farmhouse Fixer for including me in her Valentine’s Day blog hop party. Together, Mary and I, along with six of our good girlfriends, are going to be sharing Valentine’s Day decorating & styling tips, cocktails, recipes, and more

If you’re coming over from Leslie of River Studio Design, welcome!!! I just love her beautiful home, as I’m sure you did too. Be sure to hang around until the end of my post because you’re not going to want to miss my other gal pals blog links!

Without Further Ado…Here Are My 5 Quick & Easy Ways to Spread The Love on Valentine’s Day

#1 & #2 – Treats For Your Sweets, Seasonal Decor, and Pretty Roses, all Corralled on a Tray

Who doesn’t love something sweet on Valentine’s Day (or any day for that fact, amiright?)? One of my favorite ways to display candy, while keeping it safe from our indoor horses (aka Truman and Lincoln, our Great Danes), is in pretty apothecary jars. I also like to add a seasonal decor piece and some flowers. I always make sure to vary the height of items to add interests, as well as group in odd numbers. But my biggest tip about the candy display is to corral all items on a large tray. It keeps things looking neat and organized, and well, pretty too!

#3 – Baked Sweet Treats Deserve a Pretty Baking Station

I typically have the flour and sugar canisters out year round, but will change ribbon or other adornments by season. Fun fact: What’s funny about this is that I am not a baker! Well, maybe during the holidays or the occasional brownies, but other than that these canisters are for show, lol! But when I do get in the baking mood, I love to have a pretty baking station.

How about you? Are you a frequent baker or a seasonal one like me?

While I may not be the best cook or baker (no one has starved yet so I think we’re good!), I can set a pretty fabulous table! I love to mix and match my place settings so when I saw this adorable black and white spotted plate at Hobby Lobby (on sale of course!), I knew I had to grab a few…because I knew I’d eventually use them somehow.

#4 – Add A Few More Seasonal Decor Items To Carry Out The Theme

One of my favorite ways to add some seasonal decor touches to my kitchen is to decorate my tiered trays. I get maximum visual opportunity with minimal real estate usage. And they bring a smile to my every morning and evening when I walk by them!

#5 – Set A Pretty Table

I was hoping to have my Breakfast Room Table set in time for this blog post, but clients projects took precedent…and, I couldn’t make up my mind. Ugh!

I know I want to use these super cute spotted plates as the accent plate and the red heart, but haven’t quite decided on which charger to use. Will you help me make up my mind? Do you have a preference of the top one or the bottom one? Top vote wins!!!!

Well, that’s the end of my Spread The Love Valentine’s Day Tour!

Next up on the tour is Amanda of Sugar Sawdust. She’s showing you how she decorates her bar cart for Valentine’s Day, so you’ll definitely want to go check that out!
